The Role:

Are you detail-oriented, methodical, and engaged with the built environment? As a Digital Asset Data Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys of the University’s buildings, ensuring that information about spaces, maintainable assets, and their condition is meticulously recorded and maintained. This critical role underpins many core processes and directly contributes to improving the efficiency and sustainability of our campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct building surveys to gather accurate data on spaces, assets, and conditions, using digital tools like Revit, Planon and ArcGIS.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Estates Services and beyond, including Direct Works, Infrastructure, M&E, Capital Development and Sustainability, to ensure data collection meets the needs of the University.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of our digital asset management systems, ensuring data is complete, consistent, and up to date.
  • Support the University’s net-zero ambitions by providing precise data that informs sustainability projects and resource optimisation.
  • Adhere to data governance standards, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

About You:

We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data accuracy. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment and be committed to contributing to the University’s sustainability goals. Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Revit is essential and other digital surveying tools such as ArcGIS is desirable.
  • Systematic approach and attention to detail is critical but also need to be able to avoid pitfalls of perfectionism over completeness.
  • Collaborative attitude and the ability to work well within a team by clearly articulating need to data accuracy.
  • Keen interest in the built environment and desire to learn and improve processes.
