The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager, specialising in Health and Care placements to join us to enhance, develop and diversify our student placement offering across the School as we strive to globally deliver dynamic high-quality education to health and social care professionals.
With particular emphasis on new business areas including overseas providers, in public and private sectors, you will deliver a placement service that meets the needs of the providers as well as our students, regulators and course curriculum, driving growth in domestic and overseas student numbers along with opportunities available with overseas partners.
As Business Development Manager – Placements, you will be a key member of the School Leadership Team and support in shaping the design and delivery of the transformation of the School of Health and Care. Providing leadership across all aspects of the practice and placement learning provision for all programmes, you will utilise and build upon your network within the Health and Care sector to identify innovative opportunities to significantly grow placement capacity while developing and maintaining strategic placement partnerships across the portfolio.
Working closely with the School and Placements team to promote innovative and effective educational solutions you will ensure a sufficient pipeline of placements for current and future course programmes delivering a strong pipeline of students/graduates to fulfil our partner placement needs.
This role is based in Coventry but will take a global approach to Business Development.
Our Successful Candidate
As Business Development Manager, you will have strong connections to the Health and Care sector with an excellent understanding of the provision of placements. An excellent relationship builder, you will have a proven track record of effectively managing contracts and relationships internally and with external partners, both in the UK and overseas.
You will be passionate about growing the placements service, using your sector knowledge to offer innovative solutions that meet providers needs and demonstrating the drive and motivation to achieve stretching student number targets in line with the School’s business plans and the wider corporate strategy.
You will work collaboratively, utilising excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to build understanding and trust across your networks to meet the school’s placement priorities.
A global outlook, demonstrating cultural awareness and willingness to travel to represent the School/Group in the UK and overseas are all essential to fulfilling this role and reaching our international agenda.
