We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Psychology for two enthusiastic Research Assistants. You will work on a project led by Dr Alicia Forsberg examining how memory, meta-cognition, and learning develop during childhood and adolescence.
The post holders will assist with recruiting participants (aged between 6-12 years), and coordinating and delivering data collection. Data collection includes explaining simple memory tests to participants, recording their answers, and supporting and encouraging participants throughout the session. Full training will be given for all aspects of the role. The main data collection will take place virtually, and you can arrange time slots with participants to suit your schedule. Some opportunities to assist with data collection in schools in Sheffield may also emerge.
Experience with children and a strong interest in Developmental Psychology are essential. The post-holder will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communicative skills.
