Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a Learning Support Trainer to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team. In this role, you will work in a thriving and progressive team, supporting a range of neuro-diverse students across DCG's fantastic campuses. You will be key in facilitating a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment in the college’s Base-Rooms. These spaces are a hive of activity, where students can access support to reach their potential at DCG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work outside of the classroom in a non-teaching capacity, supporting students presenting with learning support requirements through one to one or small group coaching sessions. This could be in any location across DCG. 
  • Managing the daily operations of the Learning Support Base Rooms
  • Providing a student-centred approach to identifying support needs and completing student support plans
  • Act as a Mental Health First Aider supporting students with their wellbeing
