Director of Technology Enhanced Learning & Teaching

An opportunity has risen to join our Senior Academic Team as a Director of Technology Enhanced Learning & Teaching (TELT) , a role that leads the development and advancement of technology enhanced learning & teaching and learning analytics across the University through various models of delivery. Additionally, as Director of TELT you will be leading the development and delivery of the academic digital strategy, including the use of generative AI as appropriate, in support of the overall service strategy for the University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the technology enhanced learning & teaching service, including learner analytics, across the Digital Strategy.
  • Develop and implement the digital strategy to ensure use of all digital channels as appropriate, including the delivery of technology enhanced learning & teaching, digital assessment and a clear content strategy for ULaw programmes.
  • Optimise the strategy based on user research, content audit, statistical analysis and online research, and communicate the strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Support the Lecturers, Programme Directors, Heads of, Academic Managers, Campus Deans and Directors with the development of online materials.
  • Create an ongoing operational project plan, with timelines, for the delivery of the digital strategy, including visible work stream and sustainable, technology enhanced learning content and learner analytics.

We are looking for individuals who are/have:

  • Substantial proven experience in technology enhanced learning & teaching – VLE, Mobile devices, etc.
  • Experience delivering projects within time-scales and to budgets.
  • Excellent communicator, people manager and presenter.
  • Previous experience in an educational establishment, particularly in developing digital resources (desirable).
  • Analytical problem solver, with excellent interpersonal skills.
