Applications are invited from well-qualified university-level lecturer to teach Positive Psychology course to upperclassmen US students at IES Abroad London. We are looking for motivated, experienced teacher with strong expertise and enthusiasm for the subject matter.

The essential criteria for the post are:

  • A PhD in a directly relevant subject and / or extensive professional experience and a demonstrated reputation in their field.
  • Evidence of contribution to the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusivity, esp. in a classroom context, working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate students.
  • Experience of teaching international students.
  • Proven track record of module / course administration.
  • Good grasp of classroom and learning technology.

Desirable criteria are:

  • A proven track record in conducting high quality independent research, as evidenced by high quality publications in peer reviewed journals.
  • Experience of teaching U.S. students.
  • Experience of working in a Study Abroad context. 

Details of the number of classes and course scheduling will be communicated with successful shortlisted candidates during their interview. The dates of our Spring semester are: 13TH January – 19th April 2025. 

We pay a competitive hourly rate here at IES, starting from £90 depending on candidates’ expertise and experience in the field.
