Research Fellow (Fixed term)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Researcher to join our vibrant and multidisciplinary team at the NIHR MindTech HealthTech Research Centre, based at Jubilee Campus.  A key priority for MindTech is to develop the next generation of Digital Mental Health researchers. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Research Associate/Fellow to join the team. 

This post is jointly funded by MindTech and the Mental Health Mission, a £42.7 million national initiative which aims to develop new treatments, improve diagnosis and increase the use of innovative technology. You will be the lead researcher on a project to explore the use and development of remote monitoring and assessment technology for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). This will include identifying outcome measures that have the potential for digitalisation and working with a range of stakeholders to identify promising technologies. You will have the opportunity to use your initiative and creativity to identify areas for research, develop research methods, and extend your research portfolio. 

Some practical experience of conducting research in the fields of digital technology in mental health or applied psychology is essential, as is experience of preparing scientific findings for academic publication. Experience of either working with patients and members of the public with lived experience of neurodivergence/mental health difficulties or working with technology developers in healthcare would be desirable.

This is a fixed term post available for 3 years. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
