Applications are invited for the role of Daytime Responder within the Wellbeing Team in Student Services. The post holder will help to provide specialist support to assist students who present with a range of issues relating to their student experience. You will do this primarily by making referrals, advising on University policy, supporting physical and mental health, signposting wellbeing activities, assessing the need for financial support, and recommending appropriate academic adjustments. You will co-ordinate appropriate support within the University. Full support and supervision will be provided, including supervision of the records created by the Adviser.

You will be an excellent communicator and you will have experience of supporting various cohorts of people in tertiary education with a range of difficulties. You will be responsible for appropriately assessing, providing expert and professional advice and appropriately referring to colleagues internally and agencies external to Student Services. The ability to work flexibly and as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.

An ability to remain calm under pressure, work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise work is vital. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, forward-thinking service, working alongside highly qualified, experienced and motivated colleagues.
