We are pleased to announce an opportunity to work in the small and welcoming Educational Excellence team within University of Nottingham Libraries. As the Executive Support Assistant you will be responsible for providing executive support for APVC for the Teaching and Learning Curriculum, including at senior level meetings. You will help to champion and drive forward good practice administrative procedures across the department and cultivate warm, collegiate relationships with colleagues of a variety of levels of seniority and disciplines.

Your role will require liaison with staff, students and leaders at all levels of the organisation. You will be an exceptional communicator, who is able to build effective relationships at various levels of seniority, including colleagues and customers. You will also provide support for the wider team, supporting meetings, diary management and overseeing overall administration where required.

In undertaking all these tasks, you will be highly adaptable and flexible, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines. Strong organisational skills are essential, along with experience in handling sensitive or confidential issues.

We’ll provide you with the training required to perform well in the role. You’ll need to work independently at times, prioritising and managing your workload effectively, whilst working with colleagues across all areas of University of Nottingham Libraries. Being able to communicate clearly and with precision is an important part of this role, good interpersonal skills will help you to deliver in this key support role.

This is a part time (21.75 hours per week) fixed term contract until 28th July 2025. Due to the demands of this role regular on campus working will be required. There is an opportunity to discuss the working pattern with successful candidates, with consideration of the University's core working hours
