The Royal College of Art (RCA) is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the UKRI Interdisciplinary Textiles Circularity Centre (TCC) during its final stages. This role involves handling administrative tasks, managing stakeholder communications, and supporting events and financial processes, contributing to the Centre's mission of promoting a sustainable, circular textiles economy in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to ensure smooth Centre operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and process payments as required.

Visitor & Stakeholder Management:

  • Offer a welcoming and professional experience for visitors and handle enquiries efficiently.
  • Coordinate communications with academic and industry partners.

Event & Marketing Support:

  • Assist with event logistics, including travel arrangements, room bookings, and marketing activities related to the Centre’s initiatives.

Financial Administration:

  • Manage expense tracking and payment processing, ensuring compliance with College procedures.

Coordination & Team Support:

  • Coordinate travel and event needs, ensuring seamless operation of Centre activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet the Centre's goals.

Person Specification:

Education:

  • A-level or equivalent qualification.

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven administrative experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience in financial management is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work well in a team.
