Student Enterprise Manager

We are looking for a strategic and organised Student Enterprise Manager to join our dynamic Careers, Employability, and Student Enterprise (CESE) division. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Student Enterprise and Events in designing and overseeing the University's Student Enterprise programme. This includes managing the Student Enterprise Junction, a co-working space for students, ensuring a valuable experience for clients and stakeholders, and managing the Student Enterprise Coordinators. You will work alongside the Student Enterprise Consultants, coordinating their activities to maximise their potential in delivering high-quality and impactful support to students in developing their entrepreneurial ambitions. This is a fantastic opportunity to guide and support our students and recent graduates through the process of starting their own business or social enterprise.

About You

You will be a confident and credible professional with excellent organisational skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others. With a background in business development and/or entrepreneurship, you will excel at driving our programme forward. Your experience will enable you to provide one-to-one advice sessions, create and deliver skills development workshops, and oversee the daily operations of the Student Enterprise Junction. You will also manage a team of coordinators to ensure a high-quality student experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in setting up a business, working within or supporting a startup ecosystem and/or delivering a programme of support to students in enterprise and entrepreneurship, ideally within a Higher Education setting. You will be able to provide evidence of sector knowledge and demonstrate successful outcomes. On top of this, you’ll develop your own ideas for a wide range of student enterprise activities and creative ways to connect with business experts.
