Anglican Tutor - Career Development Post (Fixed-term; Three Years)

The Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education

The Queen’s Foundation seeks a full-time tutor to join the Anglican Team and to share in the formation of Anglican ordinands and the teaching of students across the Foundation.

The teaching subject specialism applicants can offer is less important than a commitment to the formation of deacons and priests for the Church of England in rapidly changing times. We are especially keen to appoint someone who would like to make a career in theological education, and to provide them with time and opportunity within the post to begin or complete doctoral studies, and/or to develop a research profile appropriate to their stage of career.

Both the Queen’s tutorial staff as a whole and the Anglican team itself embrace a diverse membership in ethnicity and gender and contain both lay and ordained staff. The nature of the funding for this post means that it is a genuine occupational requirement for candidates to be of UK Minority Ethnic/Global Majority Heritage background.

For further information go to the Queen’s Foundation website: www.queens.ac.uk/about-us/jobs

Closing date for applications is 9:00am October 7th

Interviews are expected to take place on 8th November 2024.

Proposed start-date for the post is 1st January 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Location: Birmingham
Salary: Lichfield Scale + housing allowance
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 2nd September 2024
Closes: 7th October 2024
