Do you have excellent experience working in an administrative role, with an interest in contract and due diligence administration? 

Are you someone with brilliant customer service skills who can effectively manage their own workload, balancing conflicting priorities and deadlines? 

If so, this role as Contracts and Assurance Coordinator may be ideal. 

The Contracts and Assurance Coordinator will provide support for contract and due diligence administration within the Contracts and Assurance Team. This will involve facilitating template agreements and sign off of contracts, providing advice and support on University governance, and updating the University’s research and innovation contract information systems.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for queries and will be working closely with other members of Research and Innovation Support (RIS), academic staff, PSD staff and external organisations.  

As a Contracts and Assurance Coordinator your duties will include:

  • Supported by the Contracts and Assurance Manager, guide a portfolio of template agreements through all required stages of the process, liaising in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake due diligence checks on new and existing funders and partners. and to provide the relevant information to the Contracts and Assurance Officers and/or Manager for review
  • Support the Contracts and Assurance Team to ensure that all information held on file, whether online or physically, is accurate, up-to-date and includes all the necessary records (e.g. approvals, due diligence, contracts) to meet audit requirements as well as any other legal or policy requirement
  • Liaise with academics and other RIS colleagues throughout the project lifecycle to support contractual amendments and extensions

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent 
  • Experience in a similar role or a relevant administrative role
  • An understanding/appreciation of the HE sector and the key challenges facing research and innovation in a HE environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex information to others
  • Ability to work as an effective part of a team and manage own commitments
