Background

Based in City’s Student Experience Directorate, the Student Success team work across the university using their expertise, knowledge and evidence-based approach to inform and support work to reduce inequalities in student outcomes and foster a positive experience across the student lifecycle.

This key role will provide support across areas of strategic priority within Student Success and student experience. The role will ensure the smooth running and successful delivery of work relating to the student access and participation plan, student attendance and engagement and administrative directorate support.

Responsibilities

The role holder will be responsible for the successful implementation of the Student Partner boards, and act as a point of liaison for the students involved, as well as act as secretary for the Student Experience Board. The role holder will seek to embed student co-creation and feedback for activities delivered as part of City’s Access and Participation Plan by developing innovative methods of engaging our student community. The post holder will also support academic schools to implement City’s Student Attendance and Engagement policy by developing resources and training documentation for staff and share sector good practice

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a wide portfolio of delivery. Ideally you will have experience of streamlining processes and working alongside multiple stakeholders.

You will have excellent verbal and written reasoning and be able to communicate with a range of audiences in an engaging way. You are able to provide practical guidance to teams as well as training on processes and advise on sector best practice.

You must be able to work independently as part of a wider team, enjoy the challenge of working with a complex and demanding workload and managing your time and prioritising work effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines.
