Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at DMU educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to people’s lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society. It is home to the Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences in which this post will be based.

Role

You would work as part of a team, primarily delivering high quality teaching and training across a range of programmes. You would be mainly focusing on the teaching, training and the delivery of Paediatric Audiology within our programmes, as well as take an active role in other aspects of audiology teaching, dependant on your experience and expertise. In this role you will be involved in the re-design and re-development of the curriculum to meet with changes in our profession and the advances in learning. This is an exciting time as we hope to offer an onsite Paediatric clinic that can assist with training and you would be instrumental in developing the clinic for learning.

The role will contribute to adding further to our professional courses aimed at existing clinicians and given the challenges that Paediatric services face, it is a role that will contribute to the profession.

Additionally, this role will allow for collaboration, enterprise and research development. The Audiology section of the school is one of the largest in the country and boosts excellent facilities and the latest teaching and clinical equipment.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidate should be experienced and well versed in Paediatric audiology, but will also have an all-round grounding in Audiology. A postgraduate qualification in Audiology would be useful but experience in Paediatrics is equally if not more valued for this role. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and training, it is important that they are creative and have the determination to drive change and be novel.
