The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) traces its heritage back to the first university in Wales, receiving its Royal Charter in 1828 and is honoured to have His Majesty King Charles III as Royal Patron.

We are now looking for an Apprentice Liaison Officer to join us on a full time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave (12 months), working 37 hours per week.

THE ROLE

The postholder will play a key role in the delivery of Degree and Higher Apprenticeship provision in UWTSD. This will include supporting and mentoring apprentices, liaising with employer stakeholders, providing and contributing expertise to programme development and direction for the Academic team. The post holder will be required to be proactive in establishing and sustaining effective relationships with local, regional and national businesses to promote the activities of UWTSD particularly Apprenticeships, commercial and part-time provision. The post holder will report to UWTSD Head of the Apprenticeships.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Educated to degree level or Professional accreditation or CPD record in relevant subject areas
  • Significant relevant industrial experience.
  • An excellent working knowledge of work-based learning
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to deliver high-quality teaching in a workplace setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to maintain and develop effective relationships within internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to ensure delivery against deadlines and targets
  • Experience of working within a regulatory framework
  • IT proficiency and experience of using e-resources including a willingness to deliver by video-link, VLE, e-mail or website delivery
  • Excellent written communication skills to ensure accurate progress reports and analytics for employers and funding bodies
