MedTrain+ Marie Skłodowksa Curie Fellowship Programme

Applications are invited for 50 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (PFs) at CÚRAM, SFI Research Center for Medical Devices. MedTrain+ is an advanced Industry-Academia Training, Career Development, and Mobility Fellowship Programme. There are 35+ positions available in Call 3 for 36 months full-time starting April 2025. Successful applicants will be based at one of the implementing partner/host organizations. Research proposals should focus on medical devices with an emphasis on Immunoengineering, excluding education, public engagement (EPE), science advocacy programmes, and regulatory.

The total duration of each fellowship is three years, divided into three phases: the initial phase at the host organisation, the secondment phase in a non-academic sector, and the return phase at the host organisation. Gross Salary

Remuneration is in line with EC rules for Marie Sklodowska- Curie COFUND grants

  • Level 1: €44,432 gross salary* per annum (excluding family allowance) or €51,256 gross salary* per annum (if conditions for family allowance are met)
  • Level 2: €52,213 gross salary* per annum (excluding family allowance) or €59,037 gross salary* per annum (if conditions for family allowance are met)

* Gross salary includes a mobility allowance of €7,200 annually payable as part of their gross salary which shall be fixed for 36 months during the fellowship period.

Salaries are subject to taxes and deductions e.g. deduction of PRSI (employee social security), and income taxes. For more information about tax entitlements, please go to www.revenue.ie.

The application process should include an Online application + Administrative Proposal: Max 1000 words: Part A plus Ethics Self-assessment form (including Max 2 Pages) + Part B (Research Proposal) + Academic CV (Max 5 pages with 3 references)

  • Part A: Administrative Proposal: Max 1000 words + other questions (Max 3 Pages) plus Ethics Self-assessment form (including Max 2 Pages, Total: Max: 5 Pages).
  • Part B: The applicant needs to adjust the number of pages, i.e., Max. 10 pages.
  • Academic CV: Max 5 pages (With 3 references).

Candidates are required to develop a Part B Research proposal and submit it via an online application system. The system will remain open for applications until midnight (UTC) on the 21st of October 2024.
