A full time Wellbeing Service Outreach and Retention Assistant is required to support Wellbeing Services at the University of Exeter. The role will involve providing high quality, customer focused administrative, telephony and reception support for Wellbeing Services.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis until 30 June 2025.
Summary of the role
The position of Wellbeing Services Outreach and Retention Assistant offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in providing excellent customer service and taking a lead role in one of the administration areas within the Wellbeing Service. We are looking an individual who has a 'can-do' attitude, works well within a team and is committed to providing an excellent student experience at all times, even under demanding, high-volume, busy periods. It would be desirable to have had some experience in working in a busy and sometimes reactive environment with sensitive situations, or to have an expectation of doing so within the role.
In addition, it would be ideal for the candidates to have excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, together with the willingness to learn new skills. Excellent IT skills (Outlook, Word and Excel) along with confidence, enthusiasm and positivity within a team environment are essential.
The post holder will be working in a fast-paced environment and will provide high quality face to face and telephone support to students and practitioners to ensure that students engaging with the service receive the appropriate information and support needed.
They will lead on a particular area/activity within the service and will be expected to be the first point of contact for any queries or complaints relating to that area, and to provide expertise to the Practice Manager and Pathway Leads.
The post holder will maintain effective liaison and good working relationships between Wellbeing Services, the Exams Office, the Student Information Desk, the Library and other professional services in the university. The post holders will also provide high quality administration support which will include activities such as diary management, arranging meetings, dealing with post, phone calls, emails and enquiries in a professional, informed and proactive manner
