The EPSRC UK Hub for Quantum Enabled Position Navigation and Timing (QEPNT) is one of five prestigious programmes in the UK’s flagship National Quantum Technology Programme. QEPNT will lead and support the community, ecosystem and technologies required for the UK to be a global leader in future Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies and systems. Our vision is to deliver atomic clocks, quantum inertial sensors, single-photon LiDAR sensors and quantum-classical hybrid sensors that will create practical systems for resilient PNT applications. To build the UK community and ecosystem for QEPNT we will bring together experts from academia, industry and Government agencies to ensure delivery of technologies for national security, critical national infrastructure, aerospace, connected and autonomous vehicles, maritime, energy and other applications.

The Hub Manager is a key position, ensuring the smooth delivery of QEPNT. The Hub Manager will lead the operational and business development team of the Glasgow-led Hub and will be required to contribute to the development and implementation of strategy, and have delegated responsibility for governance, financial management and day-to-day operational delivery. The successful candidate will be accountable to the QEPNT Director and Project Lead for Hub delivery but will be expected to have a high degree of self-reliance and management skill. The postholder will interact with a wide range of stakeholders working collaboratively with internal and external organisations within academic, governmental and industry sectors.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available for up to 5 years in the first instance. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
