About the role

SportBU are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our fantastic team and move the programme forward. The role is available part time, at 30 hours per week.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the development and operational management of the University’s Performance Sport Programme. It will regularly review BU’s position in the performance landscape locally, regionally and nationally to maintain our competitive advantage and British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) national ranking. The post holder will lead in the management and coordination of the Performance Sport Programme (circa. 60 teams and 1200 athletes).

Through effective organisation, deployment of resource and support for captains this role leads the success of the performance programme and helps to maintain BU within the top 35 national league table. This role is instrumental in developing a full player pathway across all Student Sport. The role will be the first point of contact for BU teams and other institutions competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport leagues and competitions.
