We are seeking an experienced professional to lead on the development and direction of the Careers Centre’s employer and alumni programmes and services, focusing on cultivating high-quality internships, graduate jobs, and experiential learning opportunities to support our students’ career ambitions across a wide range of sectors.

Leading our Opportunities Team, the Assistant Director will work with our Career Management Team, Schools and Units within the university to ensure a joined-up approach to employer and alumni engagement. This will involve creating and communicating a clear strategic vision for employer and alumni engagement and graduate recruitment, developing employer and alumni CRM systems, and managing your own caseload of employer/alumni relationships.

As a member of the Careers Centre’s senior leadership team, the Assistant Director will also make a major contribution to the leadership and management of the Centre, contributing to our culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and ‘one team’ ethos.

Educated to degree level, you will have substantial experience of working in a higher education, business development, alumni relations, or recruitment role, and a passion and enthusiasm for developing long-lasting working relationships with external partners. You will also have an active interest in the global context for our work, as well as leadership experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to high quality service delivery.

This role has the potential to be a job-share between candidates who wish to work part-time, and we welcome discussions about part-time and flexible working arrangements.
