Fixed term contract for 36 months

To join an NIHR funded multi-faceted research programme aimed at establishing evidence and recommendations for better prediction and prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) among individuals prescribed antipsychotics (PreCAP). This position provides a comprehensive training and development package to support the candidate's growth as a researcher while contributing to this important project generating evidence from routinely collected electronic health data records and stakeholder engagement. Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the research team will be available and driven by the candidate's initiative and dedication.

This post will include close collaboration with Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC), Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL) and Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust (MCFT) at Liverpool, and also be part of the wider team from Keele University, Newcastle University and King’s College London.

You should have strong data analysis of electronic health records and clear verbal and written communication skills, to deliver project work packages and dissemination to a range of stakeholders locally, nationally and internationally.

The post is available for 36 months.

A PhD or equivalent, in a highly numerate relevant area (submitted or awarded) including epidemiology, public health, health data science, health economics; health service research; computer science; mathematics and/or statistics is required for this role.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 50% on campus.
