Then the Impact Development and Evaluation Manager role could be for you!

About the role

We are looking for someone with expertise in impact to help us successfully deliver and evaluate the University's Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) programme and support the delivery of the University's Research Impact Strategy, working alongside the Heads of Research Excellence and Impact, Project Coordinator and wider IAA and Impact Team.

To do this you need to:

  • Provide expert support to our IAA applicants in planning for, delivering and evidencing impact;
  • Build effective working relationships and networks, internally and externally;
  • Identify opportunities and support the development of business cases/grant applications for impact funding, including IAAs;
  • Lead the evaluation of the IAA programme; and
  • Contribute to the strategic direction for impact at the University.

About you

  • Expertise in research and evaluation, particularly impact development and evaluation
  • outstanding communication and relationship building skills
  • have outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • have the ability to work independently
  • be able to demonstrate a good use of initiative and drive forward positive change
  • it would be of benefit to have an understanding of the Higher Education impact agenda.

Research and Innovation Services (RIS) supports the research activity of staff and student researchers with professional development, collaboration and funding opportunities, ethics and responsible conduct compliance, contract development, project management and intellectual property. You will join a dedicated, expert professional team of colleagues committed to the continual development of services to support the implementation of the University of Bath’s strategic research priorities and the management of research systems and reporting requirements.

This is a part-time role, working 21.9 hours per week for a fixed-term period until March 2026.
