Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 19th August 2024
Closes: 1st September 2024

The Royal Academy of Music is a creative and vibrant workplace with a diverse mix of students and staff from over 60 countries. Many of the world’s leading musicians and performers have studied with us and we are firmly focused on developing tomorrow’s musical leaders across several disciplines, including Classical Performance, Composition, Opera, Jazz, and Musical Theatre. Integral to the musical training we offer is the opportunity to perform; in an average year, the Academy runs a vibrant programme of around 500 events.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Administration Assistant to join the Registry team. The role of the Central Administration and Accommodation Assistant is two-fold: one element of the role is to support the daily running of Central Administration services through effective administrative and operational support, providing excellent customer service to students and staff; the other is to provide front line support to students on all aspects of their accommodation.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to prioritise and manage a varied and diverse workload, to problem-solve quickly and effectively, to remain calm and collected whilst working under pressure in a demanding environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills, IT skills and have experience working in a busy and challenging administrative role. A working knowledge of classical and jazz music, in particular instruments and ensemble types, is also essential.

This role can be a hybrid working role with a minimum of three days per week onsite.

A recruitment pack can be downloaded from www.ram.ac.uk/jobs.

Completed applications must be received by 11:59PM on Sunday 1st September 2024.

Interviews are expected to take place at the Academy week commencing 9th September 2024.

Enquiries or applications from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.

The Academy is committed to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, and candidates with disabilities because we would like to increase the representation of these groups in these roles. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to greater results for students.

The Academy values diversity and welcomes your application.
