We are seeking to appoint a Programme Coordinator for the Agile Initiative at the Oxford Martin School, to provide flexible administrative support to implement and maintain operational and financial systems, working with the Agile research and administrative teams, Sprint partners, key internal stakeholders and the funder (NERC) to ensure the success of the Agile programme.

Agile is an exciting programme with an innovative approach to bridging the gap between science and policy in the environmental sciences, established in February 2022 with £10 million from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Building on the Oxford Martin School's mission to foster innovative collaborations to solve the world's most urgent challenges, it brings together interdisciplinary teams of outstanding researchers from across the University of Oxford to work with external partners and industry and community stakeholders in rapid research ‘Sprints’ to address time-critical questions for policymakers.

The candidate must have a solid background in research project management and financial administration at a research-focused Higher Education Institution like Oxford. They must be able to work independently and flexibly in a fast-paced research environment, and be a team player who can work collaboratively.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a project administrator seeking to develop skills in the management of large, interdisciplinary research programmes. You will join an energetic team that is enabling cutting-edge research and policy to tackle environmental challenges as part of an innovative programme that is pushing the boundaries of traditional research.

The post is full time, fixed term until 30 January 2027.

Please be aware, the University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1–10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll and backdated to 1 August 2024.
