This new full-time post is available from 1st October 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for a fixed-term period of 23 months.

The post

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in the European research project funded under the Horizon Program “HouseInc – Inclusive, affordable and sustainable housing for marginalized communities.”

HouseInc develops on understanding housing inequalities across a number of European countries, with a strong focus on marginalized communities such as refugees, and will co-produce solutions to reduce housing inequalities. The successful applicant will apply advanced data science techniques and analyze large data sets such as the European Social Survey (ESS) to understand wider impacts of housing inequalities, with a focus on health outcomes. They will also create overheating scenarios for selected case dwellings / countries for the present und different future climatic scenarios.

About you

We are looking for a passionate individual who is committed to conducting outstanding research with the potential for real-world impact who has an appropriate research track record for their career stage. A PhD in data science, building science, climate science or equivalent experience and some programming experience (e.g. Python, R) is required.

The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required. Applicants will have the opportunity to lead on research outputs and dissemination activities and will be embedded in a network of interdisciplinary European research partners.
