Academic Clinical Lecturer in General Dental Practice

Applications are invited for a NIHR Integrated Academic Training Clinical Lecturer post. You will join the vibrant Integrated Clinical Academic Training programme at Liverpool which provides a supportive research environment to develop independent, novel research alongside your clinical career. An honorary contract will be applied for with the appropriate NHS Trust. This will enable training opportunities in specialist areas to develop your clinical skills aligned to your role as a general dental practitioner.

The successful candidate will undertake internationally regarded research and have the benefit of senior academic support in making grant applications, as well as independent mentoring on career progression. You will also share responsibility for delivering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes.

You will hold (or have submitted) your PhD at the time you apply; and will provide evidence that you have been fully awarded your degree by the time you take up the post. The post is in School of Dentistry and NHS Trust Premises across Liverpool and other primary and secondary centres in Cheshire and Merseyside. The successful applicant must be in post by 31 March 2025 and is available for up to four years (with a maximum of six years if undertaken in a less than full-time capacity but must be a minimum of three days a week).
