About the role

Are you skilled in developing exciting informal learning activities that engage diverse audiences with STEM? Are you creative, with a passion for engaging hard to reach communities? If so, you could join our team developing and delivering STEM engagement in the heart of our White City Campus.

As part of our commitment to engaging society, we have a dedicated community engagement programme at The Invention Rooms, which serves as a local hub for creativity, learning, and collaboration.

What you would be doing

Joining the Public Engagement team you will work with our academic colleagues to develop and deliver accessible programming that showcases our research in ways that connects local communities in White City to the wonder of STEM. You will apply your expertise and experience across engagement and informal learning methods to develop and deliver learning activities for all.

What we are looking for

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented staff to to join the Public Engagement Team to support the delivery of STEM activities and workshops. We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in developing and delivering hands-on learning experiences for a range of audiences, but with a focus on families.
  • A passion to make a positive change in the Imperial and local community and empower others to do so as well.
  • An understanding of the kinds of barriers that some underserved audiences face in relation to STEM engagement.
