Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Senior Research Assistant to support the theme lead for programmes of research and implementation relating to Inclusive Involvement (Patient and Public Involvement) in research  in the East of England. https://arc-eoe.nihr.ac.uk/research-implementation/research-themes/inclusive-involvement-research

The post is funded by an applied health research grant from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). 

The appointee will be based within the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care (CRIPACC). Travel across the East of England and collaboration with other regional Universities will be expected.

Main duties and responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for successful applicants to help develop these research themes, working collaboratively with leading academics, key stakeholders and communities across the East of England. The post-holders will gain valuable knowledge and experience of developing health / care / public health research at local, regional and national levels with the possibility to influence health, wellbeing and services for communities in the East of England.

Skills and experience required

Experience and knowledge relating to the research theme area together with experience of working with academic and non-academic collaborators is required.  Experience of having worked on research projects and grant applications is particularly welcome.  Candidates are expected to be organised, responsible, capable of using their own initiative, able to work well in a team and to evidence communication to a high standard to a variety of audiences. Where required, training and supervision will be given.

Qualifications required

You will hold a minimum of a degree or equivalent level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline.
