We are seeking a motivated and experienced Research Assistant to join the British Heart Foundation Laboratory of Cardiovascular Medicine, in the group of Dr Meritxell Nus, within the Department of Medicine at the University of Cambridge. The group focuses on the regulation of immune metabolic processes that regulate atherosclerosis.

Candidates must have a degree in biology or related subject. It will be an advantage to hold a Home Office Personal Licence with certification for Module 4 and to be able to demonstrate expertise using in vivo models of cardiovascular and immune disease. Previous experience in metabolic studies, pathology and/or flow cytometry will be desirable but not required.

The duties include planning and performing experimental metabolic, pathology and flow cytometry experiments. Also live animal atherosclerotic and immunological studies procedures, stock maintenance and record keeping.
