About the Role

For informal queries, please email Professor Stuart Coles at stuart.coles@warwick.ac.uk.

This is an exciting opportunity to implement academic research in a commercial setting and would suit someone with expertise in sustainability assessment and the circular economy who enjoys problem-solving and is motivated by understanding and exploring new ways of working. A proven track record of project management/execution is a prerequisite as the project demands significant cross functional departmental interaction.

Mura Technology is an advanced recycler of waste plastics, utilising its patented innovative technology, HydroPRT, to produce high-quality oils with leading sustainability credentials. This supports the creation of a low-carbon, circular economy for polymers globally. Find out more by visiting Mura Technology.

The impetus for this Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Mura Technology and the University of Warwick follows on from a successful Innovate UK-funded project as part of the Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging initiative, and reflects Mura’s continuous efforts to innovate and improve their environmental impact. This KTP aims to develop an environmental impact modelling platform that integrates with commercial operations, facilitating sustainability assessments and supporting global business growth.

Primarily based at Mura Technology’s office in London, you will be working as part of a collaborative research project and must work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. You should be able to take responsibility for managing and delivering the project and have the confidence and ability to embed the new knowledge into the team through training, paired working, and a number of other methods.
