The University of Lincoln is expanding its pre-registration portfolio by starting a BSc Diagnostic Radiography in September 2024. We are delighted to now offer the opportunity to apply for the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.

The 3 year programme is currently undergoing external validation and recruitment activity has already commenced for September 2024. We have worked very closely with the local acute trust to write a programme which fulfils their local workforce needs, as well as drive the profession forward through the addition of new skills required by the College of Radiographers. With new community diagnostic centres being built in the region, students will experience a wide variety of opportunities on placement.

AHP education has been delivered at the University of Lincoln since 2018 and you would be working alongside 4 other AHP professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Paramedic Science, and Physiotherapy.

Allied Health Professions are part of the School of Health and Care Sciences in the College of Health and Science. We offer a range of undergraduate and post-graduate pre-registration degrees and post registration MSc programmes. We have an income of over £11m and over 1800 students registered across all of the School’s programmes. Teaching is predominantly delivered in the purpose built Sarah Swift Building, which opened in 2017, and additional refurbishment in 2021 developed a VR suite where the Diagnostic Radiography students will have the opportunity to use Virtual Medical Coaching software to develop their practical skills.

There are many great benefits of working for the University, including: 35 days annual leave per annum pro rata with an additional 14 days bank holidays and University concessionary days (including University closure for the Christmas to New Year period annually), the equivalent of 6 weeks protected time for personal development and scholarly activity, hybrid working to support academic staff to work on campus and at home, and full funding to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Education.

If you would like to work on a vibrant city centre campus with views across the marina, want an opportunity to share your ideas and support the growth of health education at Lincoln and be part of a new and dynamic teaching team this could be the job for you. Please contact Sophie Willis, Associate Professor, at SWillis@lincoln.ac.uk for more details or to discuss the opportunity further.

Lecturer salary from £37,099 to £42,978 per annum pro rata.

Senior Lecturer salary from £42,978 to £54,395 per annum pro rata.
