The University is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work within Cyfiawnder: The Social Inclusion Research Institute. Following the Institute’s positive outcomes from the Research Excellence Framework 2021 this role is key to future research developments and the next REF in 2029.  

The post holder will work with members of Cyfiawnder and liaise with teams across the University, including the Research Office. They will lead high-quality collaborative research, working both independently and as part of research teams across our academic community. You will support the Research Institute to achieve strategic research goals and foster collaboration between academics, service providers, and service users.

Wrexham University is a signatory to the Researcher Development Concordat and Research Integrity Concordat. The University is committed to the principles of these concordats and is dedicated to the development of researchers in all posts and upholding the highest standards of rigour and integrity in all aspects of research.  

The post holder must have a PhD in a relevant discipline and have experience of project managing research projects, undertaking high quality research, respond to funding opportunities, developing grant applications to promote inclusion, and writing for publication. The post holder will require excellent time management and organisation skills. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
