The Globalisation Directorate aims to lead, develop, deliver, and support a holistic and integrated globalisation agenda, with growth aligned to the University strategy. This is be driven by our commitment to social purpose, engaging with future students, education and research partnerships, transnational education, pathways, humanitarian and mobility activities internationally and in the United Kingdom. It includes student recruitment and admissions, marketing and partnerships.

We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as Head of Global Engagement and Recruitment within the Future Students Team, to lead our student recruitment and outreach activity. This is a permanent appointment.

You will lead a Student Recruitment and Access team that meets the differing needs of domestic and international audiences whilst remaining flexible enough to adapt to future changes in market conditions or programme delivery. You will be responsible for student recruitment to all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivered face to face and at a distance

You will lead and develop the University's Widening Access agenda, ensuring the University fulfils its obligations to the Scottish Funding Council, and to raise the aspirations of underrepresented groups to encourage them to see themselves in a Dundee education.

We welcome applications from results focused individuals who are seeking an opportunity to lead and develop innovative new approaches to student recruitment. We particularly welcome an evidence-based approach to recruitment planning, with a strong emphasis on evidencing impact of activity against objectives.

Your priorities will include

• Supporting the delivery of the University's plans and ensuring the University meets agreed student recruitment and budget targets
• Providing strategic direction and leadership to the Global Engagement and Recruitment team
• Maximising the global impact and profile of the University's in-market activities
• Increasing the profile and reputation of the University in strategically relevant overseas regions and countries
• Leading and developing the University's Widening Access agenda
