We are seeking an enthusiastic person with experience of clinical research and qualitative research, working with patients or vulnerable individuals. This post offers an exciting opportunity for a keen Research Assistant to work on a project of international significance, reporting to the Principal Investigator, you will play a key role in delivery of this project. You will also have the opportunity to co-supervise Masters Student research.

You will work with project leads, partners and project managers to deliver study objectives. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting research interviews with patient participants, analysing qualitative data and working with clinical teams to promote patient study participation, acquisition, and collection of patient data.

You are required to hold a postgraduate qualification in Genomic Medicine, Genetic Counselling, Nursing, or Psychology and have experience working with patients or vulnerable people with the ability to relate to people and discuss sensitive issues. Holding a relevant PhD/DPhil (or equivalent) or be close to completion (Medical Sociology/Social Sciences/Psychology/Genetic counselling/Nursing) would be desirable.

This is a full time appointment (though we would consider a part time appointment with a commensurate adjustment in the responsibilities and duties) on a fixed term contract for 2 years funded by the British Heart Foundation (Cureheart) and you will be based at the Level 6 West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
