With a brand new strategy launching this summer that focuses on belonging, inclusion and enabling our ‘Brilliant People’ it is a really exciting time and opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development professional to join the People Experience (HR) team.

Our mission as a People Experience (HR) team is to foster a positive employee experience within an inclusive environment. We will equip staff with the necessary tools to ensure rewarding, equitable, and developmental experiences, enabling them to succeed in their contributions to the Student Union's strategic ambitions. As a trusted and responsive service, we are committed to creating and fostering an unbiased, empathetic, accountable, and learning-driven culture.

The successful candidate will provide a professional people service for the organisation, enabling managers and employees through focus on establishing positive working experiences and organisational culture, through the provision of learning and development (L&D) design and delivery of interventions, campaigns and action planning on enhancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) with the organisation, and leading on employee engagement activities.

The People Experience Adviser will work closely with colleagues in the People Experience team to best empower our workforce, through effective alignment with our SU strategy, focusing on transformation and change projects that drive staff learning, development and inclusion activity. They will support all managers, staff and stakeholders through the provision of varied learning interventions such as training, coaching and mentoring, to build engagement rapport, trust and enable colleagues to work inclusively, innovatively and to succeed.
