The University of Roehampton London is recruiting a Project Manager (4 years, fixed term) for an NIHR ODA funded research project that will develop and evaluate the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of the CHIME intervention – a culturally embedded, music-based intervention led by local women’s groups in Gambia, South Africa and Lesotho. The CHIME intervention has been co-designed with women in the local context and is offered as a universal intervention (without screening) to support the mental health and wellbeing of pregnant women.

ARE YOU?

  • Passionate about project management in global health settings
  • Experienced in liaising with a range of stakeholders including academics, funders and community organizations
  • Experienced in co-ordinating large, complex, international projects
  • Highly skilled in organization, planning and communication

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Be a key part of a large and highly international team of academics and non academic stakeholders
  • Be responsible for the daily project administration of a large and highly international project, ensuring key milestones and KPI’s are met
  • Take a leading role in communicating with and updating stakeholders on key project developments
  • Put in place and maintain an effective system for the recording, storing and sharing of project information
  • Support all aspects of the project including meetings and dissemination of project outcomes

Expertise of staff within the School of Psychology spans experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, comparative psychology, counselling psychology, psychotherapies and the arts and play therapies. Our multidisciplinary research seeks to improve the understanding of factors that influence mental health and wellbeing and to develop strategies and interventions to improve them. Our researchers produce impactful outcomes with real world applications that support local, national and global communities. Our work enhances and saves lives, supports the regeneration of the world around us and shapes government policy that touches on every impact of society.
