The Centre for Population Health Sciences at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Director of GP Undergraduate Teaching. This will be a 0.4FTE appointment
The Opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with skills in medical education to lead undergraduate GP teaching at the University of Edinburgh. The postholder will take over leadership of a group of GP teachers, and engage in the delivery and strategic development of General Practice at the university. The MBChB curriculum at the University of Edinburgh is going through a period of significant transformation; the postholder will have the opportunity to support the university in its ambitions to deliver more medical teaching in the community, and graduate more doctors with a passion for working in clinical and/or academic general practice.
Informal enquiries may be directed to David Weller, Professor of General Practice david.weller@ed.ac.uk and/or Karen Fairhurst, Professor of Student Learning in Primary Care karen.fairhurst@ed.ac.uk
