Corpus Christi College is seeking a Nurse to provide first-line health care and health-related welfare advice and first aid service to students. The College Nurse is a member of the College's tutorial and welfare team, and works closely with the Senior Tutor, the Tutors, the College counsellor, and the JCR and MCR Welfare Officers, as well as with other Heads of Department in aspects of their work that may involve student welfare.
The position will be part-time, working 25 hours a week for 39 weeks of the year. The position will require an enhanced DBS check to be completed before commencement of employment.
The position requires experience of working with young people and patients with mental health conditions as well managing a range of medical, psychological and other emergencies. Much of the work is advisory in nature so essential requirements are excellent counselling skills and the ability to win the confidence and trust of young people.
