We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the lab group of Dr Laura Ross at the Institute of Ecology and Evolution, as part of an ERC starting Grant for the duration of 6 months. This project investigates the evolutionary dynamics of maternal genetic sex determination using mathematical modelling, simulations and population genetics approaches.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
The Opportunity:
There will also be scope for the postdoc to develop their own research plans with a view to becoming an independent investigator. The project will involve collaboration with partners within the UK and overseas and there are funds within the grant for training and conference attendance. The project will be funded till the end date of the grant, June 2025.
