Applications are invited for this new post be held at the University of Cambridge, within the Department of Psychiatry.

We are seeking a nationally / internationally recognised researcher to run a programme of research in persistent psychosis and negative symptoms and to run the innovative CPFT clozapine and physical health service with a view to working with our strengthening the links between the Department of Psychiatry and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT).

This is a post supported by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) and the role-holder will undertake three days per week for CPFT as an honorary consultant psychiatrist, with two days per week for the university. There is the opportunity for discretionary sessions.

We are looking for candidates who are credible as future independent research leaders, capable of raising grant income as principal applicants to peer-reviewed funding agencies, professionally managing research staff, and inspiring and educating students especially at postgraduate level. We are especially interested in candidates whose intellectual credibility as independent scientists is matched by their commitment to enhancing clinical services in the NHS.
