The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer to join the Rheumatology research team at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer. The post holder will have extensive experience in the study of endogenous stem and progenitor cells in joint health and arthritis, and enthusiasm to significantly contribute to the development of an internationally competitive research programme which builds upon or shows synergy with those of other research groups at the University of Edinburgh. The post holder will also contribute to teaching in the Institute. 

This is an open-ended (i.e. permanent) post and is full-time (35 hours per week). 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • An internationally competitive track record of publications in the subject area.
  • A proven track record in attracting research grant income.
  • Ability to lead and motivate people to manage resources and contribute to the running of a research group.
  • Extensive experience in teaching, learning and assessment in medical sciences.
