Research Funding Specialist

Part-time 0.4 FTE (14hrs per week) Fixed Term 12 months

Salary Scale: Salary starting from £36,199 (Pro rata = £14,479)

We are: Experiencing an exciting period of development in our Research & Knowledge Exchange Directorate. As part of the implementation of the Research Action Plan (RCS Strategy 2030) we are looking for a Research Funding Specialist, who will be key to the success of the plan and the broader success of RCS.  

You will provide expert specialist support for research grant preparation and submission working closely with the Director of Research & Knowledge Exchange on strategic bids and opportunities.  You will also provide guidance and direct support to Conservatoire staff on research funding opportunities and submissions.

You will be: Experienced working within a research funding support capacity within a Higher Education environment and have demonstratable high-quality customer/client service experience with a positive approach to proactive service delivery.  You will enjoy working in a deadline driven environment.

You should:  Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, evidenced through previous roles. Strong interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy and experience in creating specialist resources for colleagues at all stages of their research journey
