The Faculty of Business and Law is a multidisciplinary Faculty which is embarking on an exciting plan of curriculum development in particular in its business portfolio. The Faculty delivers high quality, professionally accredited, inclusive and ethically focused vocational programmes and aims to nurture socially responsible, productive, creative, confident and globally aware leaders and managers who think on an international scale, regardless of the size of their organisation and contribute to civic society. St Mary’s is an HE Partner of the Chartered Management Institute and are members of the Chartered Association of Business Schools and Enterprise Educators UK.
The Faculty is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Business Management, depending on experience and qualifications, to contribute their expertise to the growing teaching and research environment of both the postgraduate and undergraduate Business Management programmes. We are particularly keen to attract candidates with demonstrable expertise in more than one of the following areas:
About you
Candidates would be expected to develop and deliver innovative teaching on the Faculty’s Business Management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Candidates should also be able to contribute meaningfully to the research community of the Faculty in the form of publications, environment and/or impact.
Candidates should demonstrate experience of excellence and innovation in teaching and curriculum development within Higher Education, as well as relevant research outputs and future pipeline, or an ability to develop these. Candidates would ideally possess a doctoral-level qualification in a relevant field, or equivalent research experience, and/or commensurate professional experience in a relevant field.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm and aptitude for the enhancement of student learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the development of employability skills for future business professionals.
