Are you looking for a delivery role that gives you the opportunity to be part of a team delivering digital services that make your mark on an ancient institution? The University of Cambridge is looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to help with evolving our identity and access management.

Who you'll be working with

We're part of the Delivery Management Office. We work closely with product managers, developers, service design, user research, data science and business analysis from UIS as well as subject matter experts across the university.

What you will do

We have a range of work starting soon or in process that we need help with.

We are currently initiating work to strengthen our identity and access management. You'll be working with subject matter experts alongside a product manager to deliver new and enhance existing capabilities underpinned by tooling, centred around user needs. Ideally, you'll have experience of delivering identity and access management platforms and services.

What we are looking for

  • You will have proven experience managing digital products and services through the full lifecycle as a delivery manager / scrum master / agile project manager.
  • You'll have worked as part of a cross-functional in-house product team / squad with development and operations integrated (DevOps).
  • You'll have experience with a range of agile frameworks and methods in a digital setting and will be comfortable helping teams adapt to help them focus on delivery.
  • You will be able to build relationships at all levels with experience of influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders to achieve goals.

What we can offer

  • 41 days holiday per year, including bank holidays.
  • A generous pension.
  • Hybrid working. The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment.  The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. We welcome applicants who live outside Cambridge but are willing to travel regularly to Cambridge.
  • A friendly and supportive team environment.
  • The opportunity to shape and influence how we work.

We support flexible and family-friendly working and are open to non-standard working patterns. While this is advertised as a full-time role, we would consider applications from candidates who are looking to work less than full-time hours.
