Project summary
This fully funded PhD provides an exciting opportunity to pursue postgraduate research in the economics of rail transport, supervised by leading researchers in the field, and interacting with railways from across Europe. The source of the funding is Horizon Europe, and specifically the EU-Rail Joint Undertaking (project name: PhDs EU-Rail) which involves participation and funding from key rail companies across Europe including for example SNCF in France, and the student will also have access to the Institute’s extensive network of contacts within Great Britain. The studentship will therefore have the benefit of involvement of the rail industry across Europe, offering for example key datasets for analysis.
