The role

Join our dynamic team at the FARSCOPE Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) as a Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director to oversee and enhance all administrative and operational processes. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic and operational direction of the Centre, including organising training events, refining operating frameworks, and managing financial resources.

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Future Autonomous and Robotic Systems (FARSCOPE) is funded until 2027 to conduct exciting research, ensuring the future generation of robots are Smart, Safe, Scalable, and Social.

We are looking for a Centre Manager who can support our current students and ensure the delivery of the program while working closely with the leadership team to define the next chapter for FARSCOPE beyond 2027. Your efforts will help secure the funding required to continue our mission of making robotic systems ubiquitous.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to initiatives that support the future growth and ongoing success of the Centre.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure consistently high-quality support for all Centre staff and students.
  • Work closely with teams across the Universities of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE), the Bristol Robotics Lab, and external partners to deliver a positive and successful student experience.
  • Present FARSCOPE's achievements and demonstrate the programme's impact within academia and the wider world.
  • Support the leadership team in identifying and securing future opportunities to sustain and enhance the programme's impact.
