About the Role
The purpose of the role is to support the Student Recruitment and WP team in delivering the University’s 2030 Strategy, with a focus on the relevant recruitment and widening participation objectives. The Student Recruitment and WP Senior Officer will collaborate closely with the Student Recruitment and WP Manager to achieve the University's targets for both undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment and widening participation, in alignment with Strategy 2030.
The Student Recruitment and WP Senior Officer will engage with schools and colleges, key influencers, prospective students, and other internal and external stakeholders. The postholder will collaborate with the wider team and Queen Mary's Student Ambassadors to deliver outreach activities in schools and colleges and will lead the planning and execution of key recruitment events. and activity.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with knowledge and understanding of the current higher education sector and widening participation agenda. You will have experience in managing multiple projects, building relationships with stakeholders and analysing data to inform decision making.
About the Department
This role is part of the Recruitment and Widening Participation team, under the broader Marketing and Widening Participation function. This function is responsible for promoting Queen Mary’s profile and its educational programmes, as well as attracting and recruiting a diverse range of students. This includes those from widening participation (WP) backgrounds, as well as students from across the UK, the EU, and overseas.
The Student Recruitment and Widening Participation team focuses on recruitment across the UK, including the recruitment of students under-represented at Queen Mary.
