We are looking for a professional and conscientious individual to join the Finance team within Oxford Brookes Business School on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. As Business Support Manager you will be responsible for carrying out the financial duties of the Business School in accordance with Faculty and University procedures and policies.

The overall purpose of the post is to support the Head of Finance & Planning and the Management Accountant in all aspects of financial strategic planning and business support. The post holder will be responsible for the production of key information relating to the portfolio of research and consultancy contracts, including monitoring actual performance against individual projects, contract and funding body requirements. The post holder will also manage all financial elements of research grants within the Faculty Finance team.
This role will also have responsibility for managing the administration of the Faculty Workload Planning process.
You will be an excellent communicator with first class interpersonal skills, and as a team player, you will have an enthusiastic and positive approach to work. You will have proven organisational and communication skills, with a high level of competency with IT, especially Excel and Google spreadsheets. The ability to prioritise and manage competing demands is essential to the role and the post holder will be required to line manage two Finance Officers.
