The Disability and Neuroinclusion team at the University of Surrey is expanding its provision of term time Non-Medical Helper (NMH) specialist tutors and mentors. We are seeking to recruit qualified and experienced experts who can deliver specialist tutoring and/or specialist mentoring support to students on a regular one-to-one permanent basis.
In a typical 7.2 hour day you would meet with five students, with the remaining time being used for associated administration, and attending a NMH team meeting fortnightly.
We anticipate a combination of face-to-face and remote sessions being delivered with at least 50% of time being spent on campus. Working for us fully remotely will not be possible.
Our team of term-time NMH staff typically work 3-5 days per week in term time. While salary is paid evenly over the year, post-holders will undertake the role over 32 core weeks of the year, inclusive of term-time and other periods of high demand.
